Alan Rogers Review of Camping le Tivoli
Camping le Tivoli is a municipal site run by Revea, in the small spa town of Bagnols-les-Bains. There are 91 touring pitches, although 12 of these have seasonal units, and there are seven chalets. The new site manageress is welcoming, but the site itself has an air of tiredness and would benefit from some extra attention. The pitches (all with 10A electricity) looked rather neglected; they are separated by hedges, and most have shade from trees. The toilet facilities are in two blocks, one older and unheated, the other more modern. The town of Bagnols-les-Bains looks interesting and is very close to the camping site.
It has many useful amenities with restaurants, bars, cafes, supermarkets, a casino and a thermal bath. There are some stunning views in the countryside around. The area is excellent for walking with many waymarked paths. This is near the areas where Robert Louis Stevenson walked with his donkey in 1878. There is a train station in Bagnols-les-Bains, accessible on foot from the campsite.
Facilities at Camping le Tivoli
Two toilet blocks, one quite run down, the other more modern, have adequate accessible facilities. Washbasins are open and in cabins and showers are preset. Laundry sinks and washing machine and dryer. Motorhome services. Communal barbecue area. Fishing. Bicycle hire. Free WiFi on part of site.
