Alan Rogers Review of Camping le Soleil
Le Soleil is an attractive site with direct access to the sandy beach, but also with an impressive heated pool complex. It is a busy, popular, family owned site which over the years has developed into a small village. It has over 800 pitches of ample size of which 132 are used by tour operators and a further 430 for touring units, on sandy/grassy ground and with a mixture of tall trees and shrubs providing light shade. All have electricity (6A) and 24 are fully serviced. Caravans sometimes need to take care on the narrow access roads. The site has a wide range of amenities, including an impressive pool complex with activities and entertainment for all the family. All facilities are open when the site is open.
Spain and the Pyrénées are near enough for excursions. English is spoken and there is a comprehensive reservation system (advised for most of July/Aug). Le Soleil also works with the group Les Pieds dans l’Eau (sites with direct access to water - sea, river or lake) and has its own range of mobile homes and chalets for rent.
Facilities at Camping le Soleil
Six toilet blocks (one heated in low season) of the type with external access to individual units. Some family cabins with washbasins, showers. Accessible facilities, Washing machines. Supermarket. General shop, restaurant, takeaway and bar (all open all season) disco (July/Aug), beach bar. Heated California type swimming pool complex and entertainment area. Adventure playground. TV room. Internet. WiFi throughout (free). Tennis. Diving in high season (charge). Gas and electric barbecues only.
Directions to Camping le Soleil
A9 exit Perpignan-Sud, D914 direction Argelès-sur-Mer as far as exit 10 direction Taxo-d'Avall. Turn left at the 2nd roundabout in the direction of Plage Nord, continue on this road and follow the campsite signs.
