Sitting over 1,500 metres up in the Pyrenees, this open and spacious site is ideally situated for climbing, walking, cycling and hiking during the summer months and is open at weekends and school holidays in winter for those who enjoy skiing and snowboarding. There are 125 touring pitches in three different areas, with electricity available (long leads may be necessary). Le Puigmal is aimed at the active, country loving camper who does not want lots of entertainment and amenities and provides a very quiet location in which to enjoy a holiday or stop over. Across the valley you can see the magnificent Mont Louis climbing to over 3,000 m. near Font-Romeu.

A 200 m. walk takes you into the village where there are shops, a bar, snack bar and a restaurant along with a very good open air swimming pool that features a water slide. Duty free shopping is only 30 minutes away in Andorra, and Spain is even closer at just 10 minutes away.

One large, modern toilet block provides showers, toilets and washbasins in separate areas and should be adequate at most times. Small WC for children. Accessible Facilities with ramp access. Washing machine. Small library in reception. Play area. Pétanque. Picnic area. WIFI. Pets allowed.

Directions to Camping le Puigmal

From the N116 (Perpignan-Andorra and Spain) take the D33 for Err at Saillogouse. Proceed up through the village towards the ski slope and site is on the right, accessed via a flat level bridge spanning the small river.
