Le Port de Lacombe is well kept, situated on the banks of the Lot river, a location ideal for walking, cycling, fishing and canoeing. The 97 grass touring pitches (with 10A electricity) are level and range in size from 100-130 sq.m. A large natural swimming pool is fed by the river and provides a separate paddling area and a large slide. Using the D42, one can wind through the valley and climb to over 2,000 feet to the Plateau de la Viadene. The scenery is panoramic and picturesque. Running past the site, the Lot river provides a very relaxing environment to laze away your holiday, should you wish to do so.
It is possible to take a short river cruise on the Lot from the site. The village of Flagnac and a large supermarket are both within easy distance. The picturesque, medieval town of Conques (20 km. to the east) and Peyrusse-le-roc, another small, hilltop village with a royal tomb (20 km. to the south west) are both worth a visit.
Facilities
Two separate sanitary blocks, each with the usual facilities including provision for disabled visitors. Washing machine. Shop and bar (all season) with restaurant and takeaway (both 01/07-31/08). TV in function room. Play area. Swimming pool fed from the river. Paddling pool (15/6-15/9). Bicycle hire. Fishing in river. Entertainment (July/Aug). Free WiFi in the bar & reception.
Location
Driving south from Brive-la-Gaillarde, take D840 to Decazeville, turning north on D963 to Flagnac. Site is well signed on the left. From Rodez take D840 to Decazeville, then as above.
