Only some 5 km. from Salon-de-Provence, near the village of Eyguières, this is a charming campsite with shaded grassy pitches thanks to the many trees which have been preserved here as a result of the imaginative irrigation scheme developed by the owners in the 18th century. The campsite, edging the canal, was first opened about 50 years ago as a farm site but has been developed to offer 83 hedged pitches including 17 used for mobile homes. There are 20 with full services, the rest having 6A electricity connections. This is a good site for families but, having said that the fast-running canal at the entrance is unfenced.

There is a swimming pool beside the entrance, along with a bar/restaurant. In the high season activities are organised for children in the afternoons, and for adults in the evening. The charming town of Salon with its excellent museums is accessible by bike along safe country cycle trails. With the Alpilles Mountains as a backdrop, and places like Les Baux and Saint Rémy to visit, Nostradamus makes a very good option.

One large sanitary block with showers and toilets upstairs, and one small block (both recently renovated) provide all modern facilities including en-suites unit for babies and children. Very good accessible facilities(key). Washing machine. Motorhome services. Shop (fresh bread and basics) and bar. Restaurant with takeaway (from 15/5). Swimming and paddling pools (15/5-30/9). Play area outside entrance. Pétanque. Fishing. WiFi in some areas (charged). Gas and charcoal barbecues are permitted.

Directions to Camping le Nostradamus

From A7 exit 26 (Senas) follow N538 south for 5 km. Take D175 west and pick up D17 going south to Salon. Site is at junction of D17 and CD72 with entrance off the CD72. From A54 exit 13 go north towards Eyguières and take first right on CD72 (signed). Entrance is just before T-junction with D17.
