The owners, Alain and Annette Larroque, bought this 40-year-old campsite in 2006 (now run by their daughters) and made improvements such as a new restaurant and appointing their own chef. A very peaceful site, the loudest noise you are likely to hear is the sound of croaking frogs and the birds singing. There are 43 pitches (40 for touring), three chalets and equipped tents to rent. They are large (120-200 sq.m) and all on grass, with dividing hedges and ample shade from mature trees. You can be assured of a relaxing time here in the heart of the countryside.

There is good company in the evening in the bar and restaurant, with a new menu daily. New gîtes have been introduced, finished to a very high standard.

Single-sex toilet block with British style toilets. Accessible facilities. Washing machine. Bar and restaurant (July/Aug). Lake for swimming and fishing. Play area on grass. Barbecue area. Activities for children in high season. Musicians weekly in high season. Torches useful.

Directions to Camping le Muret

From A20 exit 56 (Bastide, Murat, Rodez) take D802 (Rodez, Decazeville, Figeac). In Figeac take D822 to Villefranche-de-Rouergue. From Villefranche take D911 towards Rieupeyroux. Site is clearly signed (towards St Salvadou). For caravans continue on D911 for 7.5 km. before turning right at Solville crossroads (Carmaux D905A) and follow signs to site (5 km).
