Across the river from Sully-sur-Loire with its imposing château, this all-year-round site makes a comfortable base for exploring this part of the Loire valley. There are 100 varying sized, level stony/grassy pitches with 80 for touring, all with 10A electricity, water and drainage. They are mostly arranged in groups of six surrounded by low hedging with a few trees giving just a little shade. Between the main area and the river there is an extra area for tents; with shady, unmarked pitches but few electric points. Many pitches have views over the river but, unfortunately, not of the town or its château.

Much work is being done to improve the site including new small inflatable swimming and paddling pools, a bar and an (open air) restaurant. Improvements are also planned for the very small, basic toilet block in the centre of the site, which at present may be overstretched in the high season. The other, larger toilet block near the entrance is some way from most of the pitches. A full entertainment programme is planned for the high season. Access easy for large outfits.

Facilities at Camping le Jardin de Sully

Two modern, well equipped toilet blocks. One near the entrance is heated, with an accessible suite. Second block in centre of site is small with open-air showers. Small shop for essentials. Bar and open-air restaurant/takeaway (1/5-30/9). Small, heated, covered swimming pool and separate paddling pool (both 1/5-30/9). Fishing. Bicycle hire. Games/TV room. Minigolf. Boules. Play areas. WiFi.

Directions to Camping le Jardin de Sully

From Orléans take N60 then the D952 east towards Gien. Turn south on D948 for Sully-sur-Loire. In St Père-sur-Loire, at roundabout just before river bridge, turn west on D60 signed St Benoit-sur-Loire. Site is 800 m. on left.
