This traditional seaside site was acquired in 2008 by new owners with ambitious plans for improvement. When we last visited, the bar/restaurant had been refurbished and new mobile homes installed. The most significant change has been the installation of a modern electrical system providing 20A to the 97 touring pitches which are set among trees. Numerous mobile homes occupy other parts of the site, with 40 available for hire. In low season the site had a rather neglected feel about it, but no doubt it will liven up in high season.

Facilities at Camping Havre de Bernières

A heated toilet block near reception has basic facilities including an en-suite accessible unit, a baby room with bath and changing mat, and a laundry room. Free hot water to showers, washbasins in cubicles and all sinks. Bar/restaurant with takeaway. Heated pool with slides (1/5-15/9). Sauna. large play area. Electronic games in hut. Bicycle hire. Free WiFi.

Directions to Camping Havre de Bernières

From Caen northern ringroad at exit 5, take D7 north for 8 km, then D79 northwest for 9 km. to Courseulles-sur-Mer. Turn east on D514 to Bernières. Site is on right before the village. From ferry terminal at Ouistreham head west for 15 km. on D514. Site is on left at far end of Bernières.
