This is a small and friendly site which has all the requirements for a peaceful holiday. There is a really nice rural feel to the site which adds to the ambience and the Dutch owners are keen to ensure you enjoy your stay with them. Set high up above the Lot with a steep staircase down to the river bank, the views are breathtaking and you can fish or hire the campsite’s own canoes (a short drive down to the river may be easier). The 77 pitches are grassy and slightly sloping, all with 6A electricity. There is an open feel to the site with a mixture of sunshine and shade.

The bar/restaurant and games room are very informal with a library in one corner. The restaurant serves simple meals (menu in French, English and Dutch). Entertainment in July and August includes wine tours, games for all ages, communal meals such as paella and barbecues, and a weekly disco which is held in a cave in the river bank below the site.

The modern toilet block includes washbasins in cabins. Accessible facilities, Washing machines, spin dryer and ironing board. Small shop in reception and bar (1/5-30/9). Restaurant (1/5-30/9). Motorhome services. L-shaped swimming pool and well fenced paddling pool with sunbathing surround. Play areas. Boules. Canoe and bicycle hire. Internet access. WiFi in bar area (free). English and Dutch spoken.

Location

From D911 Villeneuve-sur-Lot-Cahors road turn south at village of Duravel (11 km. east of Fumel) onto D58. At Port Vire cross the river, then take first exit at roundabout onto the D8 heading west towards Touzac. Site is 1.8 km. on right.
