Camping Latsch an der Etsch has splendid views to the surrounding mountains. Some of the 100 shaded touring pitches are alongside the river, others are set on slopes. All have 6A electricity and 50 also have water and drainage. The site and its adjoining hotel reveal an array of amenities when explored and campers may use all the facilities of the hotel. Two interconnected swimming pools, one in the hotel, the other outside, are a great feature. Mountain walkers and anyone with adventurous ambitions will be in their element here and several chair lifts give access to higher slopes. This is an unusual site with a huge variety of things to do and a very pleasant ambiance.
An interesting feature is a water wheel which was used to provides electricity (now there is solar power). Interesting drives can be made over nearby passes with Merano, Bolzano, the Dolomites and the duty-free town of Livigno within range. An underground car park (for 35 cars) protects vehicles from winter snow and summer sun and, if used, gives a reduction in pitch charges. There is a little road noise. This is a very pleasant little campsite where the friendly staff speak some English.

The sanitary block, refurbished to hotel standards is on two floors and is heated in cool weather. Excellent private bathrooms (20 with basin, shower, toilet) for hire. Accessible Facilities. Washing machine and dryer. Motorhome services. Shop, bar and pleasant restaurant. Attractive heated indoor pool, sauna, solarium and fitness room. Larger, irregularly shaped outdoor pool with marble surrounds. Playground. Indoor bowls. Pool room. Campers have access to all the hotel facilities.

Latsch/Laces is 28 km. west of Merano on the SS38 Bolzano-Silandro road. Site entrance is by the Hotel Vermoi.
