Camping Lac de Panthier is an attractively situated lakeside site in the Burgundy countryside. It is divided into two areas, one housing the reception, shop, restaurant, indoor pool and sauna. The other, larger area is 200 m. along the lakeside road and is where the other site activities take place and the outdoor pools can be found. Many of the pitches here have views across the countryside. The 127 touring pitches all have 6A electricity and are mostly on gently sloping grass, although in parts there are shallow terraces. The restaurant and some pitches have views over the lake which offers many watersports and is popular with anglers. Used by tour operators.

Established for 40 years, this is a lively site in high season with many organised activities both on and off site. There are many interesting old towns and villages with their colourful markets well worth exploring. The local village names read like a wine list and make an excellent tour. Pouilly-en-Auxois offers boat trips on the canal. The friendly owners speak good English.

Each area has two adequate unisex toilet blocks including provision for babies and accessible facilities. Shop, bar, restaurant and takeaway (all season). Games and TV rooms. Swimming pool, children’s pool and slide (1/6-31/8). Indoor pool, sauna and gym. Fishing. Bicycle hire (including electric bikes with trailers for children) and canoe hire. Watersports. Entertainment and activities organised in high season and clubs for children and teenagers. WiFi throughout (charged). Trampoline. Electric barbecues are not permitted. Max. 1 dog.

Directions to Camping Lac de Panthier

From the A6 join the A38 and exit immediately at exit 24. Take N81 south towards Arnay Le Duc, over A6, shortly turn left on D977 for 5 km. Fork left for Vandenesse-en-Auxois. Through village on D977 for 2.5 km, turn left and site is on left. A car park is on the right where one can stop before entering the site.
