Ideally situated for discovering some of the best tourist attractions of Charente-Maritime, Abri Côtier is a family friendly site some 1,800 metres from the sea, and three kilometres from the Anses beach with its seawater pool and views of the Ile d’Oléron and Fort Boyard. The 54 touring pitches (90 sq.m) are delineated by mature hedges and have 6A electricity (French 2-pin plug, long leads useful). The indoor pool has a splash pool for young children and a sun terrace where parents can relax. Family entertainment such as shows, dancing, karaoke and fancy dress are organised every evening in high season.

Away from the site, there is plenty of interest including the Zoo at Royan, the Aquarium and La Rochelle, and Fort Boyard.

One traditional sanitary block is fully equipped with free hot showers, washbasins in cubicles and accessible facilities. Laundry facilities. Motorhome services. Tourist market (July/Aug). Directions to Camping l’Abri-Côtier

Travelling south on D733, pass Rochefort crossing River Charente, take exit for Soubise and St Agnant. At roundabout take first exit onto D238 (Soubise). In Soubise, follow road round to right (St Nazaire/Charente) and continue to Fontrouet. At roundabout take 2nd exit (Port des Barques). Turn left at sign for St Froult and Camping, then right for St. Bernardette. Site is on right as you leave the hamlet.
