Camping La Tour de France, despite its name, isn't directly affiliated with the famous cycling race. But it is a popular campsite located in Latour-de-France, a commune in the Pyrénées-Orientales department of Occitanie, France. The campsite is ideal for those seeking a relaxing getaway in the French countryside. On site, there are 106 pitches, 100 of which are for touring units and have electric hookup points available (6amp). Most pitches are large and shaded by mature trees, and many are separated by hedges.

On site there is a lovely outdoor swimming pool, which is a great place to cool off on a hot day. The younger camping members can also happily spend their time splashing around in the toddler's pool. During high season, there are plenty of activities for the whole family to get involved in. Enjoy live music, wine tastings, or even karaoke nights. There is also a recreation room for the younger children where they can play with their new friends. There is also a bowling alley, which is available to book by the hour. If you are feeling a little peckish, there are plenty of options to choose from. Have a relaxing dinner at the campsite's restaurant or enjoy the pizzeria and snack bar during high season.

The area around Latour-de-France is a paradise for hikers and cyclists. There are trails to suit all levels, from gentle strolls through vineyards to challenging climbs up mountains. The Cathar castles are a group of medieval fortifications perched on hilltops in the region. These castles were built by the Cathars, a religious sect that was deemed heretical by the Catholic Church. The most famous Cathar castles are Queribus, Peyrepertuse, and Foix.
