Alan Rogers Review of Camping la Sousta
With a long season, La Sousta is a former municipal site set under tall trees and within a ten minute walk of the famous Pont du Gard, a World Heritage site. The 240 touring pitches are mainly level and numbered, but are not very clearly defined. Electricity is 6A with both French and European sockets. The reception office provides plenty of tourist information and coach trips are organised in high season to various places of interest. A large unheated swimming pool set in a sunny location has surrounding grassy areas for sunbathing. A footpath leads to a private beach on the river.
Facilities at Camping la Sousta
The four toilet blocks are well equipped with clean facilities with mainly British style WCs, baby bath and showers, and accessible facilities. Washing machines and dryer. Bar. Snack bar and takeaway (all 1/4-30/9). Swimming and paddling pools (1/5-31/10). Various play areas. Tennis. Football field. Bicycle hire. Weekly disco in July/Aug. Entertainment and canoes trips organised. Miniclub (6-11 yrs). Communal barbecue areas.
Directions to Camping la Sousta
Site is signed from the centre of Remoulins. From N100 follow signs for Beaucaire and Nimes, then site signs. Site is beside the D981, just before Pont du Gard.
