Alan Rogers Review
A small, rural, well maintained, family run site, La Rominguiere is located beside a man-made lake high up in the Massif Central. It is an ideal site to use as a base for touring the area which has some amazing scenery. There are 62 slightly sloping, good sized pitches, 30 for touring units. Many are separated by hedges and shaded by mature trees, and all have electricity (10A), water and drainage. There is a small stony beach for bathing in the lake and there are many marked walking and cycling routes around it. Access to the site is by fairly steep, twisting, narrow lanes and is not suitable for large underpowered units.
Two toilet blocks, one modern, the other older but well maintained with washbasins and controllable showers. Separate facilities for disabled visitors. Washing machine and laundry sinks. Dishwashing facilities. Motorhome services. Small shop. Bar/restaurant with outdoor terrace and lake views. Games and TV in bar. Heated swimming and paddling pools (1/6-15/9). Play area. Animation programme in high season. Free WiFi over part of site.
LocationFrom north or south leave A75b motorway at St Flour and head west to Soulage on the D541 then St Amans des Cots and the site is signed off to the left. Link to campsite location map on google
