Camping la Pinède is a lively site located on a long stretch of land in a shady pine forest, slightly off the bustling coast. It is a few kilometres from the beach between the villages of Les Mathes and La Palmyre. The 11-hectare site provides a total of 501 pitches, of which 145 are available for touring units, all with 10A electricity and 64 also with water and drainage. They are level and a mixture of sand and grass, many hedged by bushes. Tall pines provide shade in places. An impressive heated indoor pool complex includes five large water slides, a lazy river, a waterfall, paddling pool and jacuzzi.
An outdoor pool is open in July and August. During high season an extensive programme of activities is organised by the site including a club for children. Mobile homes and chalets are available to rent and tour operators use some pitches.
Facilities at Camping la Pinède
Four toilet blocks provide showers and washbasins in cabins. Facilities for babies and accessible facilities. Laundry. Shop, restaurant, bar and takeaway, indoor pool complex (all open all season). Outdoor pools (1/7-31/8). Play area, bouncy castle and mini farm for children. Bicycle hire. Minigolf. TV room. Games room. Boules. Tennis. Multisport courts. Entertainment and activities. Only gas barbecues are permitted but communal area provided. Max. one dog per pitch up to 10 kg. WiFi throughout (charged).
Directions to Camping la Pinède
From Rochefort and Marennes follow directions to La Tremblade and join D14. At roundabout before Arvert turn on D268 (Les Mathes, La Palmyre). Site is on right in Fouasse. From Saintes take N150 and at Saujon take D14 (Marennes). After 13 km. turn south on D268. Site is on right after 3 km.
