Camping La Garenne, , is a medium-sized family run campsite with a total of 123 pitches, of which are largely laid out on flat terrain and to a small extent in terraces. They are playfully demarcated by trees, shrubs or low walls. The campsite is located in the beautiful valley of the river Eyrieux, halfway through the Ardèche department.
On the lower half of the campsite you will find the swimming pool and a children's pool. On this level there is also a restaurant/ snack bar and a children's playground.
Camping La Garenne is part of the selection of child-friendly campsites. The entertainment program designed for children in mind giving you and your children an unforgettable summer. In the early and late season for those who seek a quieter holiday you can choose from a large number of activities, including pétanque afternoons, guided hiking tours, wine tasting, etc.
The Dolce Via is right next to the campsite: With the campsite offering bicycle hire you can find a beautiful cycling and hiking trail, through the valley of the Eyrieux, which crosses an unspoilt and picturesque landscape between Saint Laurent du Pape and Le Cheylard. This used to be an old railway. For cyclists, there is also the Via Rhôna, a beautiful flat-running cycle path along the Rhône. From the campsite, you can cycle along this path to, among others, Valence, Tournon or Privas
The campsite is also an excellent starting point for beautiful car trips around the Eyrieux valley, to the Gorges of the Ardèche, the Plateau Ardéchois (the region of the volcanoes), the Vercors and Provence.
Facilities
We have two sanitary buildings (one on the upper site and one on the lower site). The sanitary building on the ground floor has sanitary facilities for disabled visitors and a baby/children's room. Location
Leave the N86 at Beauchastel, 20 km. south of Valence and follow the D21 to St Laurent-du-Pape. In the village, turn right just before the post office and the site is at the end of this road, beyond the tennis court.Location Coordinates
