An environmentally friendly site, run and maintained to a high standard, la Brande offers an ideal holiday environment on the delightful Ile d’Oléron. It is situated on the oyster route and close to a sandy beach. Pitches here are generous and mostly separated by hedges and trees, the greater number for touring outfits. All are on level grassy terrain and have electricity hook-ups, some are fully serviced. Some of the most attractive pitches are in a newer section towards the back of the site. The many activities during the high season, plus the natural surroundings, make this an ideal choice for families.

A feature of this site is the heated indoor pool (29°C) which is open all season. The Barcat family ensures that their visitors not only enjoy quality facilities, but Gerard Barcat offers guided bicycle tours and canoe trips. This way you discover the nature, oyster farming, vineyards and history of Oléron, which is joined to the mainland by a 3 km. bridge.

Directions to Camping la Brande

After crossing bridge to l’Ile d’Oléron turn right towards Château d’Oléron. Continue through village and follow sign for Route des Huitres. Site is on left after 2.5 km.
