Alan Rogers Review of Camping La Bohème
Camping La Bohème is a small, family owned site by the bank of the Doux river in a wooded valley. The 71 pitches (30 for tourers) are grassed and level, many with a gravel surface. Established trees shade the pitches and the site is attractively landscaped. There is a good sized swimming pool and adventure play area. During July and August, some on and off-site entertainment programmes are organised. There is direct access to the river from the site enabling fishing, canoeing and swimming. Some pitches may require long leads. The site is not recommended for large outfits. Good English is spoken.
The town of Tournon-sur-Rhône (4 km) on the banks of the river is a lovely town with tree lined promenades and an impressive 11-16th-Century château. There is a wide choice of supermarkets within the vicinity. There is an Internet terminal in the reception area, and a WiFi network is available on a pay-as-you-go basis. Currently popular with Dutch campers, the owner is keen to welcome more British visitors.
Facilities at Camping La Bohème
One sanitary block with reasonable facilities, which may be stretched in high season. Limited water points. Accessible sanitary room doubles as baby room. Laundry room. Motorhome services. Fridges and secure mobile phone charging. Small shop. Bar, snack bar and takeaway service. Outdoor swimming pool. TV room. Play area. Outdoor fitness area with machines. Pétanque. Activity and entertainment programmes (high season). Fishing, river swimming. Gas. Charcoal barbecues are not permitted. Chalet and hotel rooms available. WiFi.
Directions to Camping La Bohème
From A7 exit 13 (Tain l’Hermitage) follow RN86 towards Tournon crossing river. Pass through Tournon, turn left at Sport 2000 roundabout (Lamastre) and take D532 under bridge. Le Manoir is 1.5 km. on the right.
