La Blaquière is a welcoming family site located within the Tarn Gorges in the Lozère département. This is a very popular region of France for various adventure sports – notably rock climbing, white-water rafting and potholing. Canoeists can be seen on the River Tarn, which runs past the site and has a pleasant beach. There are 81 shaded pitches, 66 for touring, some with electrical connections (6A). A number of pitches are occupied by mobile homes and fully equipped tents (available to rent). On-site amenities include a bar and restaurant, as well as a shop. A communal barbecue is available.

Climbing is particularly popular here, with some excellent climbs within five minutes’ walk of the site. Hiking and mountain biking are also popular, as well as canoeing. Various activities and evening entertainment are organised in peak season, focused around the site restaurant. The nearby village of Les Vignes is pleasant with a number of cafés and restaurants. Further afield, the magnificent Cévennes National Park offers innumerable superb walking opportunities.

Directions to Camping la Blaquière

Site is close to the village of Les Vignes. From the north, leave A75 autoroute at exit 42 (Séverac le Château) and head southeast on D995 to Les Vignes (via Le Massegros). From here follow signs to site.
