This exceptional, family run site is situated beside a lake in the beautiful Bavarian Alps, not far from the fairytale castle of Neuschwanstein. Although one can appreciate the mountain scenery from the 376 level, fully serviced pitches, it is more comfortably viewed whilst swimming in the 31°C swimming pool on the first floor of the wellness complex. The wellness complex, which offers a full spa programme and excellent sanitary facilities, is arranged around a large courtyard adorned with cascading flowers. The site has an excellent restaurant and bar with views over the lake. A member of Leading Campings Group.

The site is a comfortable base for summer tours and sightseeing in the Bavarian Alps. However, during winter or in bad weather the site has a full range of facilities under cover that include a cinema and 1,000 sq.m. play room/barn on two levels. Apart from the many colourful displays of flowers that decorate the site, colour is also provided by the glass doors and windows, created by the owner’s daughter, throughout the spa complex. This site is a credit to the owners who have designed and developed it over many years.

The excellent heated sanitary facilities provide free hot water in washbasins (some in cabins) and large showers. Separate babies’ and children’s washrooms. Private units to rent. Small golf academy and discounts for two local courses. No tents taken.

Directions to Camping Hopfensee

Site is 4 km. north of Füssen. Turn off B16 to Hopfen and site is on the left through a car park. If approaching from the west on B310, turn towards Füssen at T-junction with the B16 and immediately right again for the road to Hopfen.
