Campingplatz Hetzingen is a campsite situated right by the Eifel National Park in Nideggen, Germany. It boasts a scenic location directly on the Rur river with clear water, with the historic Nideggen Castle standing tall on the opposite bank. The Rursee Lake is also just a few kilometres away. on-site, there are 100 touring pitches with 10Amp electric hook-up points available. Pitches are separated by mature hedging, giving privacy to each pitch. There are also 300 privately owned pitches on site, but they are separated away from the touring pitches.  

On-site facilities include a self-service shop with fresh baked goods and ensure you have access to fresh groceries. You won't have to worry about cooking while staying here if you do not want to as there is a restaurant offering international cuisine, including Balkan specialities. There is also a children's playground on site, and entertainment is held regularly during high season for all camping guests to enjoy. For those who wish to relax while staying here, there is a sauna on site. The campsite also regularly organises a number of excursions, such as walking trips and kayak excursions. 

Nideggen Castle is perched on a hill overlooking the Rur valley and the campsite. The castle has a long and interesting history, dating back to the 12th century. You can take a guided tour of the castle or explore it at your own pace. There's also a restaurant on-site with stunning views. The Eifel National Park is located near the campsite and is a volcanic mountain range with stunning scenery, forests, lakes and waterfalls. There are plenty of hiking and biking trails to explore in the park, and you can also go rock climbing, canoeing, and swimming.
