Camping Groeneveld is a quiet, clean, traditional site in a small village within easy reach of Gent. It has a friendly atmosphere and is also open over a long season. Although this site has 98 pitches, there are a fair number of seasonal units, leaving around 50 large touring pitches with 10A electricity. Hedges and borders divide the grassy area, access roads are gravel and there is an area for tents. Family entertainment and activities organised in high season include themed, musical evenings, barbecues, pétanque matches, etc.

The village of Bachte-Maria-Leerne has a butcher, general store, café and bar, chemist, two restaurants, baker, plus a newsagent, tabac and ATM. The site has produced a location map of these for guests. The city of Gent is just 15 km. north of the site and 5 km. to the south is the pleasant town of Deinze.

Two fully updated toilet blocks provide British style WCs, washbasins and free hot showers. Motorhome services. Washing machine. Freezer (free). Traditional Flemish-style bar (July/Aug; Thurs-Sun low season) with a comprehensive range of speciality and local beers. Small coarse fishing lake. Floodlit pétanque court. Adventure play area. Internet (at reception) and free WiFi . Bicycles on loan from reception (free). Max. 2 dogs.

From A10 (E40) exit 13, turn south on N466. After 3 km. continue straight on at roundabout and site is on left on entering village (opposite large factory). Note: yellow signs are very small.
