Alan Rogers Review of Camping Eigernordwand
Grindelwald is a very popular summer and winter resort and Eigernordwand, at 950 m. above sea level, is dramatically situated very close to the north face of the famous mountain, in a delightful situation. The slightly sloping pitches have tarmac access roads but are not marked out. There are some trees around but little shade, although there are splendid views of surrounding mountain peaks. Being so high it can become cool when the sun goes down. Some static caravans remain during the winter with about 100 places for touring units in summer, and 20 in winter. Electricity connections (10A) are available. There is a good quality restaurant and hotel at the entrance. Excursions to the Jungfrau and climbing or walking tours are organised.
Facilities at Camping Eigernordwand
A new sanitary block, heated in cool weather, is of excellent quality and includes a drying room and accessible facilities. Washing machines. Motorhome services. Restaurant. Hotel. Kiosk for basic supplies (1/5-20/10). Playground. Barbecue hut. Fishing. Skiing in winter. Dogs are not accepted. WiFi (charged).

About 800 m. before entering Grindelwald bear right at roundabout next to VW/Audi garage and follow signs to site.
