Camping du Lac Marciac is a well-kept little site tucked away in the heart of the gorgeous Gers. Historic Tarbes lies around 60 km south, while the charming village of Marciac, a fortified bastide, is an easy walk for shops, restaurants and, notably, a world-famous annual jazz festival. There's great cycling and hiking, with an endless supply of unspoilt countryside on the doorstep, not to mention some of France's 'most beautiful villages' such as Fourcés and Larressingle. This is a great gastronomic region - don't miss the Madiran wines, Armagnacs, enviable menus and occasional wine and cheese tastings.

The well-shaded site has around 90 pitches, of which 73 are spacious touring pitches, 60 with electrical connections (6/10A, Europlug) and water. There are five with hardstanding for motorhomes, and an attractive natural terrace has 20 pitches without electricity for tents.

There is a small heated swimming pool (open all season) with sun loungers and a play area for children. A small meeting room provides tourist information and a library with books in various languages.

Bread is delivered daily (order at reception). Swimming pool (from mid-April). Table tennis. Pétanque. Swimming, fishing, and kayaking in the nearby lake (5 minutes walk). A small library and communal room. Play area. WiFi throughout (charged).

From Auch take N21 south and 9 km. after Mirande turn west on D3 to Marciac. In Marciac turn west on D943 towards Bassoues. Site is signed on the left after 500 m.
