The Lac de Maine campsite is situated in the heart of the Anjou region. Most of the 143 level touring pitches are part grass and part gravel hardstanding, with the remainder all gravel. All have water, a drain and 10A electricity. Some pitches are not suitable for awnings. The main entrance has a height restriction of 3.2 m, although there is an alternative gate for higher vehicles. This is a useful site, open for a long season and only five minutes from the centre of Angers. With wide access roads, it is also suitable for American RVs.
This site has the advantage of being at the southern end of the Parc de Loisirs du Lac de Maine. The adjacent 220 acre lake has a sandy beach for swimmers, windsurfing, sailing and pedaloes, while the parkland provides tennis courts and a nature reserve.
