Camping des Loisirs is a shaded and peaceful site set in the middle of an urban park in the Pays de la Loire town of Évron. This is a shaded and peaceful site in the middle of Evron town’s urban park. A 10-minute drive to Le Gué de Selle lake and 25 to the Saulges caves. A bit further out is the town’s Basilica of Notre-Dame de l'Épine five minute drive a must-visit for its displays of Aubusson tapestries and 19th-century wall paintings, and Le Gué de Selle lake is 10 minutes away for laidback lounging besides water. Supermarkets are less than a 10-minute walk away from this site in Mayenne. Urban expeditions will take you to towns such as Le Mans, while in this swish settlement bound over to the Bugatti circuit to see the renowned racetrack for yourself and to cast eyes upon the beautiful cathedral in the town centre. The site has 44 touring pitches and 12 chalets available to hire.

A hotspot for history, the medieval Château de Sainte-Suzanne (15 minutes’ drive) invites visitors to rove the ramparts and learn about how it successfully resisted William the Conqueror. As well as the usual guided and audio tours, the castle also has an extensive events programme of concerts. Go further back in time at the Des Erves dolmen megalithic site, the Mayenne area’s oldest listed monument, and admire the architectural remnants of a Gallo-Roman city at Jublains’ archaeological museum (both around 15 minutes). There is horse riding, climbing and biking in the Tyrolean Forest (half an hour’s drive), while other outdoors options include the water sports, pony rides, miniature golf and small trains at Sillé-le-Guillaume.

Directions to Camping des Loisirs

From Laval on A81/E50, take junction 3 Chateau Gontier and join the D24 to La Chapelle-Robinsouin. Now turn right onto D20 towards Evron. After a roundabout at Evron, the site is on the right, still on the D20, near the Aire de Services.
