Up in the north of the country, Camping De Watermolen is located on the border of the two Dutch provinces of Friesland and Groningen. The southeast area of the Groningen region is lush, verdant countryside, ideal for walking and cycling, with miles of dedicated trails close at hand. Alternatively, you can rent a canoe to paddle along the waterways and pass through several delightful waterside villages.

This site has around 80 spacious and grassy pitches, including comfort pitches with 16A electricity, located near the well-appointed toilet block and the lake. The standard pitches are located in the older part of the site and are slightly smaller with 4/6A electricity. Some hardstanding pitches overlooking the lake and safari tents are available to rent. The site is dotted with mature trees, which adds to the peaceful charm. In the centre of the site is a recreation lake for swimming with a zip wire and a shallow area for young children with its own beach. This is a popular spot with youngsters who can happily spend hours splashing about. For anglers, there is a well-stocked fishing lake.

Directions to Camping De Watermolen

From Groningen take A7 and take exit 32 at Marum. Go straight over the roundabout and follow the road for 2 km. before turning right. Follow the road for a further 2 km. and turn left (Kolonieweg). Take first right exit and site is 700 m. on the left.
