This neat campsite is a popular overnight stop, but the area is worth a longer stay. Villey-le-Sec has its own fortifications, part of the defensive system built along France’s frontiers after the 1870 war, and a long cycle track passes near the site. On a bank of the Moselle river, there are 86 level, grassy, marked touring pitches with electricity (6/10A) and plenty of water taps. There are also individual water taps and waste water drainage for eight of these pitches. Another area without electricity accommodates 11 tents. Just outside the site is an overnight stopping place for motorhomes.

Conveniently near the motorway from Luxembourg to the Mediterranean. Toul, with its 2000 years of history and Vauban fortifications, is well worth a visit.

Two modern toilet blocks (one heated) contain British style WCs, washbasins in cabins and controllable showers. Accessible Facilities . Motorhome services. Washing machine and dryer. Shop. Bar/restaurant. Snack bar and takeaway (all 15/4-20/9). Playground. Playing field. Boules. Fishing (permit required). Charcoal barbecues are not permitted. WiFi on part of site (charged).

Directions to Camping de Villey-le-Sec

Villey-le-Sec is 7 km. east of Toul. Leave A31 west of Nancy at exit 15 and after 1 km. at roundabout (Leclerc supermarket) take D909 to Villey-le-Sec. In village follow signs ‘Camping’ to the right, proceed down a steep hill for 600 m. then at bottom of hill turn left into site.
