De Somerense Vennen is an attractive site in lovely countryside with walking, cycling and riding trails in the Somerense heartland. A very good range of activities for children are organised here, based around the Twinkle Club, which are suitable for children of all ages. There are 165 good sized touring pitches, all with electricity (4-16A) and generally well shaded. A number of mobile homes and chalets are available for rent. There is a convivial bar/restaurant serving the best pancakes locally! The impressive swimming pool complex (with sliding roof) includes a special children’s area and a good range of games and play equipment.

Reception is very welcoming and has a range of tourist information. There is a riding centre at the edge of the site with a large indoor arena, and horses can be hired. Off site, there is some excellent walking and cycling country across the Somerense heathland and further afield into North Brabant. Someren-Heide was formerly a mining town and dates back to the time of the Spanish Upper Gelderland. It is now a pleasant place to explore with a number of older buildings.

Two toilet blocks, the newest (open all season) is small but clean and well equipped. Accessible Facilities. Further toilet/shower by restaurant. Facilities for children in a separate, purpose built block are well decorated. Laundry. Swimming pool complex (can be covered). Bar, snack bar and restaurant. Riding centre. Play area. Children’s club. Activity and entertainment programme. Free WiFi over site. Mobile homes and chalets for rent.

Directions to Camping De Somerense Vennen

Use A67 Eindhoven-Venlo motorway and leave at exit 35 (Someren). In Someren head towards Lierop and then follow signs to the site.
