Camping De Oosterweide is a small, quiet campsite located in Drenthe, just outside Pesse and on the edge of the Dwingelderveld. There are 32 pitches with electric hook-up points available on-site, which are playfully distributed throughout in an attractive park-like manner with many trees, shrubs and flowers and are completely car-free. Sustainability is the focus at the De Oosterweide campsite. They strive for the campsite to be comfortable yet completely sustainable and 100% energy neutral. The campsite owners are passionate about their business and are willing to help wherever they can.
The National Park Dwingelderveld nearby is a beautiful nature reserve with forests, heathlands, and fens. The park has several walking and biking trails. Visit the Drents Museum of Art and History in Assen, the capital of Drenthe. The museum has a collection of over 100,000 objects, including archaeological finds, paintings, and sculptures.
