This family site is located in the pine forests of the southern Landes and close to the region’s magnificent broad, sandy beach. There are 360 pitches here, dispersed beneath the pines. These are mostly equipped with 5/6A electricity (Europlug, long leads may be required). A wide range of mobile homes and chalets are available for rent. On-site amenities include a well stocked shop, a snack bar and cycle hire. There are miles of marked cycle tracks through the surrounding forest, including a track to the beach.

The site is part of the village of Messanges, a pleasant small resort. The larger resort of Vieux Boucau lies to the south. This is an important resort, first established around an artificial lake in the 1980s. This is a very popular region for surfing, and is arguably the best location in Europe for the sport. A surf school is available on site in peak season, and includes equipment for hire. Deer and boar can sometimes be seen from the campsite and a fishing lake nearby encourages many smaller animals. The National North-South, GR8 footpath runs past the site. For a lively day out, the coastal resort of Seignosse is just half an hour away by car. Local vineyards offer wine tastings in high season. The cycle route through the Landes forest has a good surface and is a pleasure to use.

Head south from Léon on 652 as far as Messanges. Turn right on Avenue de la Plage and the site is well signed.
