Camping de la Plage is really two different sites rolled into one, with 450 pitches divided by the very busy N98 road, but serviced by an underpass. You have the choice of a sometimes very crowded beach site, or a more peaceful and relaxed woodland area. There is only a short walk between the two, but their atmosphere differs. The wood area has well-proportioned pitches and naturally enjoys shade from trees, while the beachside pitches vary in size and require long leads for electricity (4-16A). The site is very efficiently run.

Booking in Peak Season is highly recommended as this is a very popular site with all European nations, most staff speak at least three languages, and the languages they speak are shown on their name badge.

Facilities on site are good and clean with a very well-stocked supermarket. Both beachside bars are well stocked and offer snacks or a full menu, and on some evenings there is entertainment in the main bar/restaurant.

Access to this site is easy off the main N98, however, this road is most of the day just one long slow-moving line of traffic, so do allow extra travel time. Once you arrive you will be directed to a holding area and then to the 24-hour reception to check in, all very quick and efficient. You will also be asked which part of the site you wish to be in and what amperage you require on your pitch the higher amps you choose the more you pay. This allows for charging E.V.s although plans are in place for E. V. charging points.

The beach on the site has soft sand and shallow water for several meters and overlook’s the Gulf of St Tropez, there was no lifeguard on duty.

One of the main benefits of this site is you can leave the car/motorhome and walk/cycle to Port Grimaud then take the ferry to St Tropez for 15 euro return, and you can catch a bus near to the site entrance which will link you with most of the main resorts on the French Riviera.

The site also has a range of properties to rent. Ste Maxime is 6 km. away and the site is not very far from many of the familiar names of the south of France – Saint Tropez, Port Grimaud, Fréjus and Saint Aygulf.

Six toilet blocks of varying quality but well equipped and clean. Baby bath. Accessible facilities. Laundry facilities. Motorhome services. Large supermarket. Bar, restaurant and takeaway. Tennis. Small play area. Bicycle hire. Fridge rental. WiFi throughout (charged). Charcoal barbecues are not permitted.
