Alan Rogers Review of Camping de la Noue des Rois
This is a large, family-run site situated between Paris and Troyes. Primarily a site for the seasonal caravans and chalets belonging to Parisian weekenders, there are also 30 chalets to rent and usually about 30 pitches for touring units. A few of these are in small groups by the side of the smaller lakes but many are on unoccupied seasonal plots scattered around the site.
A small bar overlooks the small heated swimming pool (with retractable roof) and leisure pool with slides. Some sizeable carp have been caught in the main lake.
A large playing field occupies a distant corner of the site beyond the lake and there is a tennis court, boules and a rather tired minigolf course. In high season weekend entertainment is organised. There is a comfortable crêperie with a small bar. Restaurants, bars, shops and supermarkets are to be found in the local area.
Facilities at Camping de la Noue des Rois
There is a main sanitary block (partially heated when necessary) in each half of the site, one on a mound therefore inaccessible to those with mobility problems. Controllable showers, washbasins in cubicles, dishwashing and laundry sinks, washing machines and a dryer. Water has to be collected from sinks in blocks. A smaller block has rooms with toilets and showers that are suitable for those with accessibility issues, but there were touring pitches nearby when we visited. Chemical disposal at motorhome service point outside entrance. Small shop. Crêperie with bar (all year, Thu-Sun in low season). Small pool complex (seasonal). Minigolf. Tennis. Boules. Fishing. Some entertainment (high season).
