Alan Rogers Review of Camping de la Baie
This site is one of two owned by members of the same family. It is situated on the coast overlooking the safe, sandy beach of Kervillen Plage, with its little rocky outcrops providing a naturally enclosed swimming area. This is a very friendly site, which is ideal for quiet or family holidays in an area with lots of local interest. There are 168 pitches, of which around 50 are used by tour operators. The 92 touring pitches are all of good size, hedged and all have electricity (6/10A) water and drainage. Some shade is provided by mature and maturing trees.
In the bar and restaurant complex, just outside the entrance, one can sit and watch the sun set over the bay. The restaurant has an extensive menu, from excellent seafood to snacks, and much is also available from the takeaway. American style motorhomes should book ahead.
Facilities at Camping de la Baie
Two very clean toilet blocks include well equipped baby rooms and full en-suite accessible facilities. Laundry facilities. Bar, restaurant and takeaway (open to the public, all season). Well stocked shop (all season). Small (12 m) swimming pool with slide. Play areas. Multisports pitches. TV room. Games room. Bicycle hire. WiFi over site (charged).
Directions to Camping de la Baie
From the N165 at Auray take D28 signed La Trinité-sur-Mer. Keep on through the town following signs to Carnac Plage on D186. Site is well signed off this road to the south. Be careful to take the road signed to Kervillen Plage where it forks.
