Camping De Knieplanden is a small site close to the German border. Taken over by the Eefting family in 2006, it has 64 touring pitches on five grassy fields and 16 mobile homes in a separate area. Touring pitches are laid out in circular bays surrounded by high hedges. The level pitches are numbered and have 4/8A electricity. To the front of the site is an open-air public pool with water slide and paddling pool. Central on the site is a café and small restaurant where you can enjoy basic meals. Also here is the recreation hall where activities for children are organised in high season and school holidays.

De Knieplanden is in a rural environment in the southeast of Drenthe. This area is excellent for walking and cycling or for a visit to Germany. You could also visit the museum village of Orvelte, the zoo in Emmen, or for children, Speelstad Oranje and Ponypark Slagharen.

Facilities at Camping De Knieplanden

New toilet block with roomy facilities at the centre of the site, and a single, basic but heated toilet block with toilets, washbasins (open style and in cabins) and free, preset hot showers. Accessible facilities, Laundry with washing machines. Bar/restaurant with simple meals (daily in season). Playing field. Boules. Playground. Some entertainment in high season. WiFi. Torch useful.

Directions to Camping De Knieplanden

On A28, take exit 31 (Beilen) and continue east on N381 towards Emmen. Before Emmen, turn south towards Zweeloo and follow site signs.
