Camping de Kérabus is located just north of the Breton town of Carnac, known for its many menhirs. The site has 92 grass pitches, 50 of which are for touring units, and has a 6/10-amp hook-up points. There are also 22 seasonal pitches, 20 mobile homes, and a lodge tent available to hire. Many mature flower beds brighten up this family site, and the paths lead through the colourful site to the touring pitches, which are delimited by trees. Because of this, you don't have too much privacy, but you get a sense of space.

On-site facilities include a semi-circular outdoor pool big enough for children to spend the necessary hours of fun playing and a large children's playground with a bouncy castle and trampoline. There is also a multisport pitch for various ball games, table tennis and an indoor games room. For food, there is an on-site shop selling regional products and everything you would need to enjoy cooking back at your pitch, but there are larger supermarkets located in Carnac.

The GR 34 is a must among the long-distance hiking trails. It is full of stories, salt and sea spray along the Breton coast, going from Mont-Saint-Michel to the Saint-Nazaire bridge, passing through the charming town of Carnac.

Whichever way you walk from the site, you will find megaliths everywhere. Over a length of eight kilometres, they stand around the Breton landscape. The first of these huge stones were probably placed around 5,000 BC. How were they placed? That's still a mystery...

Directions to Camping de Kérabus

From Vannes on the N165 Take exit 33 and then the D768 towards Quiberon Carnac. In Auray, at the roundabout, take the 3rd exit D765. Drive 6 km then at the roundabout, turn left and join the D119 towards Carnac. Just before the Alignment de Toulchignan turn right onto Allée des Alouettes in the direction of car park P1. Turn right again to continue on Allée des Alouettes. Follow site signs.
