Though some 4 km. from Vias-Plage with its long sandy beach, Californie Plage does have direct access to three sandy coves, and a few much sought-after pitches overlooking the sea. The site is traditionally laid out, with around 100 mobile homes available to rent on one side of the central road and over 200 touring pitches on the other. Pitches are on level sandy ground, separated by hedging, with electricity (10A, Europlug) and mostly of 100 sq.m. with shade from tall trees; those close to the beach are slightly smaller with less shade. There is a covered pool on the site and situated across the road in the grounds of its sister site is a superb tropical swimming pool complex with the inevitable toboggans etc. and even a naturist swimming pool (open in high season).
This is a fairly typical holiday-style campsite with everything you need including two restaurants, a grocer, and even a doctor and a hairdresser in July and August. As both sites are located away from Vias-Plage, on the Côte Ouest, they enjoy a degree of tranquillity in this bustling resort area.
