This small site is a 450 m. walk from one of the very attractive Gulf of Roses beaches and within the large Aiguamolls de l’Empordà natural park. Spanish horses are bred in the fields leading to the site. With some 310 pitches (160 for touring), it is smaller than many sites in this part of Spain and has a different, more intimate feel to it. There is a range of separated pitches, most with electricity, and on level ground shaded by trees and some with additional fixed awnings.

There is an impressive new swimming pool with views over Roses bay, a restaurant and bar and a large, open-air auditorium where a varied entertainment programme is provided in high season. A rooftop, terraced area is used for special occasions. There are opportunities for most watersports nearby and reception can arrange excursions by canoe through the nature reserve. Several French tour operators use the site and there are mobile homes to rent.

Directions to Camping Castell Mar

From motorway AP7 take exit 3 south or exit 4 north (there is no exit 3 north). Do not go into Castelló d’Empúries or Empuriabrava, but continue on N11 to the C260 towards Roses. At km. 40 La Rubina, turn and pass by La Llar restaurant, site is 1.5 km. further.
