Situated only 500 metres from the village of Groléjac, les Granges is a lively and well maintained campsite set on sloping ground in woodland. There are 188 pitches, of which 100 are available for touring units. The pitches are marked and numbered on level terraces, some shaded by mature trees and shrubs whilst others are sunny. Outside high season you can choose your pitch when checking in at reception. All pitches have electricity (6A) and water either on the pitch or close by. The site has a good sized swimming pool and a large shallow pool for children. A bridge connects these to a fun pool with water slides. Around 88 pitches are used by tour operators.

Outdoor gym equipment, paintball and quad biking are all new additions to the wide range of activities on offer at the site. A weekly excursion takes the more adventurous to the River Dordogne for a 20 km. canoeing trip. Regular entertainment and sporting tournaments take place in high season, along with a children’s club every weekday morning. Good English is spoken in reception where you will find a wealth of information on attractions in the Dordogne and surrounding area. If you miss reading your daily newspaper, just ask at reception and a printout of an online version will be made available for you (there may be a charge for this).

Facilities at Camping les Granges

The toilet blocks are of a very high standard with good facilities for children and accessible facilities. Bar (all season). Restaurant and snack bar also providing takeaway (all season). No shop, but bread can be ordered (July/Aug). Heated swimming pools with slides. Play area. Minigolf. Canoe and bicycle hire. Outdoor gym equipment. Paintball. Quad bikes. Canoe trips. Entertainment, sporting tournaments and children’s club all in high season. Online newspaper printouts available from reception. WiFi over site (charged).

Directions to Camping les Granges

In centre of village of Groléjac on main D704 road. Site signed through a gravel parking area on west side of road. Drive through this area and follow road around to T-junction. Turn right, under railway bridge, and immediately left (site signed). Site is just along this road on left.
