Camping Capfun Les Fuvettes
France, Franche-Comté, Doubs, Malbuisson
Alan Rogers Review
High in the Jura and close to the Swiss border, les Fuvettes is a well established family site beside Lac Saint Point. The 306 reasonably sized grass pitches are separated by hedges and small trees with varying degrees of shade and many are slightly sloping. There are 200 for touring with 150 having 6/10A electricity. Only a few have views over the lake. A very good outdoor, heated pool complex includes water slides and a separate children’s pool. The site’s bar/snack bar is housed in an attractive, steep roofed building and offers panoramic views across the lake. The lake is large – over 1,000 hectares and a wide range of watersports is possible from the site including sailing, windsurfing and pedaloes.
Most equipment can be hired on site. Walking and mountain biking are popular pursuits and many trails are available in the surrounding countryside. The Château de Joux is a popular excursion and the nearby Mont d’Or offers fine views towards the Alps. In the high season, the site runs an entertainment and excursion programme, including a club for children.
Three toilet blocks include facilities for babies and disabled visitors. Shop (1/6-5/9). Bar (1/6-31/8). Snack bar (1/7-31/8). Swimming pool with water slides, jacuzzi and paddling pool (1/6-31/8). Play area. Trampolines. Minigolf. Archery. Bicycle hire. Sports pitch. Fishing (permit needed). Boat and pedalo hire. Games room. TV room. Children’s club in peak season. From Besançon, head south on the N57 to just beyond Pontarlier. Take the D437 signed Lac St Point and Mouthe. The road skirts the lake and through Malbuisson. Site is on right at the end of the village.Link to campsite location map on google
