With its wonderful location in a quiet river valley, with views of the surrounding mountains and reached by a winding road, Camping Campalans is an excellent site for enjoying this beautiful area. It is said that the best wild mushrooms in Catalunya are found here. Combining camping with chalets and a small hotel, the site has 40 mostly grass touring pitches (all with 5-10A electricity) set on terraces beneath a 16th-century stone building housing reception, a comfortable bar, a good value restaurant and a small shop. The site is 1.5 km. from the nearest village, while the town of Berga with all facilities is 20 km. away.
An outdoor swimming pool is open in high season. One can explore the mountains, visit the nearby famous Romanesque churches including nearby Sant Jaume de la Frontanya and make excursions in the local area. There are National Parks within 10 km. and the site is ideally positioned for activities such as walking, cycling, fishing, riding and winter skiing. The owner speaks good English and comprehensive information is available from reception.

One heated toilet block has well equipped showers, washbasins, en-suite cabins and children’s facilities. Accessible facilities, A further three smaller units over the site. Laundry room. Shop, bar and restaurant (all July/Aug, then weekends and PHs). Swimming pool (24/6-15/9). Play area. Football and basketball pitches. Events and activities (Aug). Large adventure trail with three difficulty levels next to site. Mill for group rentals (up to 14 persons). Wooden bungalows and lodges to rent.
Directions to Camping Campalans
From France via Puigcerda on C-16, just before Berga turn left towards Ripoll. After Borredà turn left to Sant Jaume de Frontanyà. Site is east of the village, 1.5 km. on right.
