Many visitors come here for an overnight stay and then stop for longer or return on their journey home, as it is both peaceful and in an attractive area close to the border with France. In a long, narrow valley with tall trees on either side, a hard access road leads from reception and shop and the bar/restaurant to some 200 flat, numbered, grassy pitches, all of which have electricity connections (4A). Families with children and dogs, families without dogs, and couples only, are grouped in separate areas. This is a pleasant site in an interesting setting and the welcome is friendly.

Facilities at Camping Büttelwoog

Heated sanitary facilities in three blocks are quite good, with most in private cabins. Accessible facilities, Washing machine. Small shop for essentials. Café/bar for meals incl. breakfast (both 1/3-1/11). Playground on sand. Football field. Minigolf. Bicycle hire. Torches are useful at night. WiFi (charged).

Directions to Camping Büttelwoog

From Saarbrücken go towards Kaiserslauten on A6/E50 or road 423. Take Zweibrücken exit, then Pirmasens, finally turning to Dahn at Hinterweidenthal. Site is well signed in Dahn.
