Camping Burhave actually comprises three campsites: one for seasonals, one for motorhomes and an area for tourers (where dogs are welcome) with a separate tent field. It is on the North Sea peninsula of Butjadingen, in close proximity to the Wadden Sea National Park. The 110 motorhome pitches are neither marked nor numbered, but all have 16A electricity, water and drainage, and most enjoy good views over the beach. The whole site is rather open and can become a suntrap in hot weather. There is an enclosed area with an artificial lake for safe swimming, where beach chairs can be hired.

Burhave Strand is an excellent location for a beach holiday, but also for walking and cycling through beautiful verdant countryside. Close to the site (200 m) is a ‘Spielscheune’, an indoor playground, while the Nordsee Blue Lagoon with its water castle, pirate ship and slide is within walking distance. On-site there is a beach café with fish stand and open-air terrace with good views. Other possibilities for eating and drinking can be found in the village of Burhave.

Facilities at Camping Burhave

Three toilet blocks, one older style and one prefabricated, have some washbasins in cabins, controllable hot showers, baby room and excellent children’s section. Accessible Facilities. Washing machine and dryer. Bar with terrace and takeaway. Beach volleyball. Basketball. WiFi (charged).

Directions to Camping Burhave

From Oldenburg, take A29 North towards Wilhelmshaven. At Varel continue East on 437 road. Take exit for Stollhamm and Butjadingen (L855) and from Stollhamm follow L860 road North towards Burhave. Drive through town via Strandallee (K181) and at the end turn left towards site.
