This municipal site is the nearest campsite to Annecy which can be reached in 15 minutes by a quiet, but steep footpath. There are 102 good sized pitches, 90 of which are for touring units and tents (rock pegs essential), all with electricity (16A) and water. Twelve fully equipped chalets are available to rent. Space may be limited if the site is busy. Tall pines and a steep hillside to the west provide a backdrop to the site and a variety of trees provide some shade. This site is ideally placed for visiting Annecy but is not suitable for large units.
Annecy is a very interesting town in a beautiful setting at the head of the lake of the same name. The old centre has historical interest and is intersected by flower decked canals with many restaurants and shops to visit. There is much to see and do in this region in both summer and winter, with Geneva, Chamonix and the high Alps close by. Le Belvédère, as its name implies, overlooks the lake and some of the pitches have stunning views over the lake to the mountains beyond. One small area is reserved for groups.
