Alan Rogers Review of Camping Bellevue
A small, quiet family run campsite in the Savoie region bordering beautiful Lac Aiguebelette and surrounded by wooded hills. This lake with its pure blue water offers many opportunities for fishing, bathing and boating but powered boats are not allowed. There are 68 slightly sloping, grass pitches laid out on low terraces overlooking the lake but many are occupied by seasonal caravans. There are 40 for touring all with electricity (6/10A). Bellevue will appeal to families happy to make their own entertainment as there is none organised on site. There is a restaurant, with terrace overlooking the lake and a small shop next to the campsite.
The surrounding countryside is well worth exploring with its many old traditional villages, although some of the narrow, winding and hilly roads are not for the fainthearted. The Col de l’Epine is worth the effort due to the magnificent views.
Facilities at Camping Bellevue
Two small adequate toilet blocks with limited facilities for campers with disabilities. Bar/TV with a terrace overlooking lake. Small playground. Lakeside beach. Boating, fishing and bathing in lake. Canoes for hire.
