Alan Rogers Review of Camping Beau Rivage
Beau Rivage has a fine location, just 7 km. from Sarlat, close to La Roque Gageac, with its ancient, honey-coloured houses, sheer rock face and Dordogne river frontage. There are 199 level or slightly sloping grass pitches of which 151 are for touring units with 6A electricity available to all. The pitches are of a good size, separated by shrubs and tall trees provide shade. Large units should phone ahead to check availability. The site has a good range of amenities including a swimming pool, a restaurant, a well stocked shop and a bar.
Canoeing is very popular on the River Dordogne and there is direct access to the river and a small beach. Beau Rivage is popular with families and couples as it has something for everyone. In high season, a programme of entertainment is provided including sporting competitions. There are many small shops in La Roque Gageac, together with restaurants where you can sample the gastronomy of the area. Local markets are also very popular, especially on Sunday mornings.

Two toilet blocks include facilities for babies and accessible facilities. Washing machines. Shop, bar, restaurant and takeaway (all July/Aug). Heated swimming and paddling pools. Play area. Pétanque. Tennis. Canoeing. Fishing. WiFi in bar area. Electric barbecues are not permitted. Max. 2 dogs.

From Sarlat, take the D46 to Vitrac and then D703 towards La Roque Gageac. Site is on the left, well signed.
