Ten minutes from the beach, this well shaded and wooded eight-hectare site is located on the banks of Lac de l’Aureilhan (with a road in between), just eight kilometres from the Atlantic beaches. It has 300 average sized pitches, most with 6-10A electricity. There are also mobile homes and bungalow tents for hire. The natural surroundings of the lake shore provide many bicycle and walking tracks, together with a sandy beach. Facilities for sport and activities are excellent, with a 580 sq.m. swimming pool, sauna, spa, and fitness room. There are many walks and cycle paths nearby, as well as boat launching facilities. Sports tournaments and water polo are arranged in high season.

Traditional toilet blocks provide washbasins in cabins, showers and British style toilets. Accessible facilities, Laundry. Heated swimming pool with jacuzzi (July-Sept). Shop. Bar, restaurant, snack bar and takeaway (1/7-30/9). Games room. Boules. Multisports area. Bicycle hire. Fishing (licence from Mimizan). Miniclub (4-12 yrs). Teenage club (13-17 yrs) and evening entertainment (July/Aug). Barbecues are not permitted (communal area provided).

Directions to Camping Aurilandes

Heading east from the centre of Mimizan, take the D626. After 2 km. take next left signed Aureilhan. Continue to stop sign and turn left. Go through village to lake and turn right down the promenade to site on right.
