Alan Rogers Review
Situated in an area between the Rhine and Mosel rivers in a nature area at the foot of the Königsberg, this is a small, attractive, well maintained site with plenty of facilities. Of the 100 pitches, 85 are reserved for touring units, all with electricity, most with fresh and waste water connections. The level, grass, mainly open pitches are easily reached by tarmac site roads. A large separate meadow is for tents and has a paddling pool, communal grill and covered eating area. Trees and hedges provide some shade and division of the site. A large, attractive swimming pool complex next to the site is free to campers.
Close by is a sports centre where facilities include a sauna, fitness studio, indoor pool, a large climbing wall with professional supervision and a bowling alley. The site’s Dutch managers speak very good English and obviously enjoy running the site together with its restaurant and friendly bar. There are plenty of amenities for children and wine tasting sessions are organised for adults. The play area is next to a well equipped wooden play hut containing handicraft materials, toys and books. As well a place to stay the site also acts as a good base for visiting the many interesting places in the area.
