Les Tourterelles is a large site extending over 20 hectares of forest and is a member of the Campéole group. The site has direct access to the beach, using two footpaths, one of which is decked. The beach is vast and very popular with surfers. A lifeguard is in attendance during the high season. There are 800 pitches at les Tourterelles, of which around 296 are occupied by mobile homes, chalets and fully equipped bungalow tents, all available to rent, and including some units specially adapted for those with reduced mobility. Pitches are well shaded by pines and most have electrical connections (6A).

Leisure facilities here include a multisports pitch, bicycle hire and several children’s play areas. There are many appealing tracks through the surrounding forests and the site organises occasional accompanied walks (high season). Various other activities are on offer including beach volleyball and surfing lessons. A daily children’s club is in operation as well as regular evening entertainment, including concerts and discos.

Directions to Campéole Les Tourterelles

Approaching from Bordeaux, take A63 towards Bayonne. Leave at Castets-Vielle-St Girons exit and continue to Vielle-St Girons. At traffic lights follow signs to St Girons Plage (and site). At St Girons-Plage turn right at roundabout and site is a further 50 m.
